In November 2024, ATTIA joined industry and government leaders at “Embracing the Future of Travel, Catalyzing Tourism Growth”, a roundtable organised by Airbnb in Malaysia.
Held as Malaysia prepared for Visit Malaysia Year 2026, the discussion brought together the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Zaid Ibrahim & Co and Airbnb to explore global and local travel trends, the role of tourism as an economic driver, and how technology and home sharing can support a more resilient tourism economy.
ATTIA Managing Director Mark Chan said that as travel rebounds, regulatory frameworks that support continuous innovation in tourism are more important than ever.
“This underscores the need for greater public-private partnerships in shaping policies that foster the growth of digital platforms, complementing Malaysia’s robust tourism ecosystem, in a manner that is sustainable and beneficial for all.”
Mark Chan, Managing Director, ATTIA
